Nap Trapped? Read eBooks on Your Phone for Free

During the first two years of my daughter’s life, I spent more hours under a nursing, sleeping, or nurse-sleeping baby than I can count. Many of those hours translated to endless scrolling on Facebook.

In a search for more productive ways to spend my time, I found three apps that allow me to read books on my phone for free.

1) Hoopla allows users to set up an account and enter their library card number in order to borrow eBooks – as well as audiobooks, movies, and TV shows – all via their app.

2) Amazon’sKindle app offers thousands of free eBooks – just search “free kindle books” on Amazon and send the books of your choice to your phone.

3) Project Gutenberg offers more than 50,000 eBooks, including many classic titles. Visit the website on your phone and select the ePub format in order to read books in the iBooks app on iOS or Google Play Books on Android.
