I went natural back in 1997.
Since that time, I’ve felt called to help women celebrate and embrace their natural hair and beauty.
But like most of us, 2020 got me thinking. I wanted to help my community on a deeper level.
As much as I love writing about natural hair and lifestyle, my mission has evolved to more intentionally serve the whole you.⠀
As a mom in my 40s with an active young child, a healthy lifestyle helps me (mostly) keep up with the demands of life and motherhood.
I’ve seen the impact of changing my habits in my own life, as well as my daughter’s and husband’s.
But when I saw my mom’s cholesterol drop in a matter of months, and watched her go from struggling to walk to giving out advice at the gym, I knew I was really onto something.
I wanted to learn everything I could about how food affects our bodies. I already had Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Women’s Studies, and I was inspired to get certified in nutrition and coaching as well.
In 2020, seeing the impact of COVID inspired me to finally start sharing what I’d learned beyond my family and friends.
I made it my mission to help women in my community experience dramatic improvements in their health and fitness too.
I began offering coaching services and have been fortunate to help dozens of women eat better, boost energy, lower stress, get consistent with eating better, and thrive.
